PORTLANDIA WEEK · PART 5 OF 5
Trapped in the Technology Loop
Are you trapped in a loop?➰
People think Portlandia is all hyperbole, but most of the time it is just the truth dressed up as satire. There is a sketch called “The Technology Loop” where Fred Armisen spirals out trying to keep up with every app, device, and digital tool he owns, until the tech that was supposed to help him completely consumes him.
Honestly, that is not satire. That is what managing money looks like for a lot of neurodivergent adults right now.
The personal finance industry hands us five different apps to track spending, sort transactions, automate bill pay, set savings goals, monitor credit, and budget categories. Then they tell us if we just stay on top of all of it, we will be fine. They do not protect us from the impulse. They hand us more tools and expect us to manage them.
That is not accessibility. That is just another loop.
At Pistachio Pay, we are not adding another app to your stack. We are building a true financial partner that intercepts the impulse for you, so you do not have to manage your way out of executive dysfunction.
Money should work with your brain.
Pistachio Pay is being built to reduce the mental load of money management for neurodivergent adults.
